You have started to notice uninvited psychological symptoms, and changes in your body creep up unexpectedly. Your relationship with your partner has come under strain. The life transition of perimenopause to menopause can be difficult for some women because of the changes they start to experience, which can trigger various emotions and losses. It is a time of transition, and, as with any significant change in your life (going through puberty, getting married, becoming a new parent), it may be accompanied by feelings of increased vulnerability or even insecurity. During this transition, women are confronted with several issues that can affect the way they see and feel about themselves. These issues often include physical symptoms, as well as psychological confusion about how to navigate the transition from one stage of life to another.
