What is Telehealth Therapy?
Therapy will be conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant web-based platform. I provide online therapy services for clients who live a distance and do not reside in the Ventura County area for in-office sessions. I am licensed to provide telehealth therapy to individuals located throughout California. However, this type of service is not appropriate for everyone.
Under California law, "Telehealth" is the delivery of health care services using information and communication technologies to consult, diagnose, treat, or educate a patient while the patient is at an “originating site” and the health care provider is at a “distant site.” The “originating site" is the site where a patient is located when health care services are provided through a telecommunications system.
