Your relationship with your partner has come under strain. You find yourself becoming more irritated or want to withdraw from the relationship as you try to manage your symptoms alone. You start to notice uninvited psychological symptoms, and changes in your body creep up unexpectedly. These changes are overbearing, impacting your physical health, relationships at home, proactivity in the workplace, mood, and self-esteem. You may feel mystified by what is going on and find these symptoms distressing and confusing.

As we get older, it can feel as if we are becoming invisible and have lost important roles, feel uncomfortable and insecure in your own body. You are no longer a young woman, but you’re certainly not over the hill yet! You may feel like you’ve outgrown clothing stores aimed at 20 somethings. However, you’re not quite ready for practical beige cardigans or that simple white sneaker for the perfect granny shoe!

It's common for women between their 30's and 50's to start feeling physical and emotional changes as our hormones shift. Many women go through life hearing about menopause, but then WHAM! The perimenopause hits you first, and you have no idea what’s happening. You think you’re mentally or physically ill or losing it, and do not link the surprising cognitive and psychological symptoms of the perimenopause/menopause.

Mission

This is a time when women come into themselves, they often need more time to themselves and seek out those goals and passions that have been put off. Counseling will help you develop a newfound sense of yourself and your life’s purpose. Therapy gives you the opportunity to clear up unresolved issues and unfinished business. The changes in perimenopause facilitate the process of claiming your inner storm and moving you toward positive change and growth. There are lots of actionable advice to help you take control of your experience, and feel confident to say yes to the things you love doing again.  Wouldn’t it feel great to fall asleep easily, sleep well all night, and wake up calm and excited for the day?

I’d love to be a support to you to help explore the different pathways to health. You will learn how your mind, body, and lifestyle choices can influence one another, and how to harness all three to have the kind of life you want, so you can fully enjoy living again and feel clear, focused, calm, vibrant, and energized. I offer a secure client portal, and the ability to see clients in-person or online throughout the state of California; I make it easy to fit therapy into your busy life. I offer a free 30-minute consultation to determine together if we are a good fit. I invite you to visit my website to learn more about me and my services.
